• Coordinates and provides support for all Direct Food Distributions
• Strengthens Community Connections and potential partnerships (e.g., produce distributions with local partners)
• Manages food safety and program compliance

Lena Pransky, Food + You SNAP Outreach Specialist

• Educates about SNAP assistance (formerly known as the Food Stamp Program), especially those who may be unaware of their eligibility or facing difficulty with the application process
• Works with school staff to raise awareness about the availability of SNAP benefits, including providing informational materials, assisting with the screening and application processes, and with post-application follow-up
• Provides event-based (events that families will attend) or non-event based (paper referrals/appointments) outreach
• Contact Lorrie with questions about SNAP outreach, or to refer a family in need of food support.
